Staggers
Staggers is caused by low blood concentration of magnesium and affect sheep, cattle & goats. Staggers, also known as grass tetany or hypomagnesaemia, is a potentially life-threatening condition in dairy cows caused by low magnesium levels in the blood. It typically occurs in spring and autumn when cows are grazing lush, fast-growing grass that is low in magnesium
Staggers is the inability to stand or walk steadily. Signs of staggers to look out for are muscle tremors, nervousness, collapse, and in severe cases, can result in death if untreated.
